Why Choose Fielding Graduate University?
Our mission is to meet your educational and professional needs as an adult learner and a mid-career professional. To this end, we have developed an educational model that builds on your existing learning and professional experience that features collaborative, competency-based learning and assessment, and provides flexible scheduling to accommodate the many demands placed upon your time as a working professional.
We offer:
Quality
Fielding Graduate University has an international reputation for the highest quality accredited graduate degree and certificate programs. Fielding Graduate University is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). It is also renowned for its innovative contributions to academic research, lifelong learning and social justice.
Flexibility
Because we recognize adults must accommodate work, family and community responsibilities beyond their studies, our programs feature flexible schedules and study options within a challenging learning model.
Community
Fielding maintains a geographically dispersed, yet closely-knit community of scholar-practitioners who value learning, creativity, relationships and respect for individual differences. We are highly skilled at creating communities of varying types—dispersed, regional and online.
The School of Human and Organization Development encourages adult learners to bring work and community challenges to their study, and promotes student/faculty interaction through mentoring and dialogue in a variety of face to-face and virtual settings. Our students have the rare opportunity to create a custom curriculum and learning road map that fits their professional needs and research interests.
PhD in Human and Organizational Systems
The PhD in Human and Organizational Systems emphasizes organizational, community and social systems, as informed by organization and management studies, systems theories, and related social science fields. Students examine social change in business, nonprofit, government and community settings using various forms of qualitative, quantitative and action-oriented inquiry.
