Assumption College MBA Program

Assumption College is located in Worcester, Massachusetts, the state’s second largest city with a population of more than 176,000. The campus is nestled on 175 park-like acres in a safe and serene section of the city, yet is only a stone’s throw from the excitement of downtown.

At Assumption, we recognize that there’s more to business than simply the bottom line. Our unique and tested “Ethics Fusion” approach provides students not only with the technical and decision-making skills that are the hallmark of a successful business, but also in-depth exposure to a set of core values. Our graduates develop the capability of recognizing ethical problems in business, and an understanding of how the right decisions are to be made – qualities that are in great demand in the contemporary workplace.

Assumption does not require the GMAT. Applicants whose native language is not English must submit TOEFL (min. 540 paper, 200 computer, 78 iBT) or IELTS scores (min. 6.0).

Part-Time MBA

The Assumption MBA program is designed to provide professional preparation for men and women currently employed who wish to study on a part-time basis. The program is designed for working individuals and classes are offered in the late afternoon and evening.

The primary goal of the MBA curriculum is the development of knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies in individuals who wish to excel and advance in their careers, or to pursue higher education in business. MBA Assumption graduates are qualified to enter and succeed as leaders in any field of enterprise, whether domestic or international, for profit or not, commerce, social service, health care, government or other organizations.

Students are expected to develop research and articulation skills early in the program. Then emphasis is placed on learning effective and ethical decision-making, problem-solving and strategy development in the functional areas of any organization including finance, marketing, operations, human resources and information technology.

While including required study in the key functional areas of management, the program offers ample flexibility so that the student can concentrate his/her study in a chosen area by completing one of the available concentrations.

  • Accounting
  • Finance / Economics
  • Human Resources
  • International Business
  • Management
  • Marketing

Alternatively, the student may design a package of elective courses that tailors the program to their individual needs.
